How to make a basic vinaigrette dressing

Ingredients

  • ¼ Cup Vinegar
  • ¾ Cup Oil
  • ½ Tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt (optional, to taste)
  • Sugar (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  • Whisk the vinegar and mustard together
  • While vigorously whisking, slowly drizzle in the oil until incorporated and dressing thickens slightly
  • Store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks
